Environmental Commitment
Looking after the environment matters to us, and it’s something we think about as part of running the business day to day. We try to make sensible choices where we can, from how our teak is sourced to how your furniture is delivered, while still focusing on quality and practicality.
We don’t claim to be perfect, but we do our best to be thoughtful and responsible in the way we work.
Responsible Sourcing
The teak we use comes from responsibly managed plantations in Indonesia and is certified under the SVLK system. This helps ensure the timber is legally harvested and traceable, and supports proper forest management.
Using plantation grown teak also means forests are managed and replanted over time, rather than relying on unmanaged or protected woodland.
Delivery and Transport
We use our own delivery vans and work with modern Euro 6 vehicles fitted with AdBlue technology. These are designed to reduce emissions and meet current ULEZ standards. Delivery will always have some impact, but we aim to plan routes carefully and avoid unnecessary journeys where possible.
Packaging
Packaging is something we pay attention to. Wherever we can, we use recycled and recyclable materials and avoid unnecessary plastics. It’s an area we continue to review, looking for practical improvements without compromising the protection of your furniture.
Choosing Furniture That’s Meant to Be Used
One of the simplest ways to reduce waste is to choose furniture that doesn’t need replacing regularly. Teak is naturally durable and well suited to outdoor use, which means it can be enjoyed over time with basic care, rather than being replaced after only a short period.
This makes it a practical choice for outdoor spaces where furniture is used day to day and exposed to the elements.
Always Learning and Improving
Sustainability isn’t a fixed target. We’re always learning and looking for sensible ways to improve how we source materials, package products, and handle deliveries.
If you ever have questions about our approach or want to know more about what we do behind the scenes, we’re always happy to explain.
